AGLF funds African ingenuity in three forms: catalytic capital for founders, support for skill-development programs, and partnerships with mission-aligned organizations. Pick the track that fits.

Founder Capital.

We back African-centric founders solving African problems — pre-seed and seed checks for teams building in fintech, agritech, edtech, climate, and adjacent sectors.

What we look for

  • Founding team based in or building primarily for an African market.
  • A clear, specific problem in fintech, agritech, edtech, climate, health, or logistics.
  • Early traction — a working product, paying users, or a credible technical milestone.
  • A founder thesis on why this team, in this market, right now.

Skill Programs.

We fund education and skill-development programs that expand the African talent pipeline — vocational, technical, digital, and entrepreneurial. We back operators with delivery experience, not policy proposals.

FAQ

The questions we get most.

Fintech, agritech, edtech, climate and energy, health, logistics, and adjacent infrastructure. We're sector-flexible if the founder thesis is strong, but we don't fund crypto-only plays, gambling, or extractive industries.
For founder capital, yes — typically a SAFE or priced round on standard terms. For program grants, no. We'll be explicit about structure before any commitment.
